Mr. and Mrs. Roy Oliver of 12910 Sinclair st SW, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Tuesday. They were married by the Rev. Charles Billington, pastor of the Akron Baptist Temple.
A few close friends of the Olivers gave a surprise party in their honor Saturday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. William I. King, 174 Page st NW. They received lovely gifts.
Mrs. Oliver's son, Ray, took them to dinner on Tuesday to celebrate the occasion.
Mr. Oliver is the grandfather of Roy Clark, star of the television show "Hee Haw." Mr. and Mrs. Oliver are active members of the Massillon Baptist Temple, and adult Sunday School Class, and the Senior Citizens Fellowship Group. Mr. Oliver is retired from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, now a part of the Chessie System, having worked there for 48 years. Mrs. Oliver is retired from the Massillon Public School System.

Roy Clark of Washington, D. C., grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Oliver of 12910 Sinclair st SW, will appear on the Jimmy Bean TV show Thursday at 10 p. m. on Channel 5.
Clark, an electric guitarist, has been on Dean's show before. His mother is the former Lillian Oliver.
