He was the son of Adam and Anna Margaret (Flath) Hergert. He married Aurelia Pauli (b. April 11, 1906, d. December 9, 2003) at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, in 1924.

HENRY A. HERGERT

Henry Arthur Hergert died Tuesday in a Gresham hospital. Born December 6, 1905, in Europe, Mr. Hergert lived most of his life in Gresham. He was employed in the automotive service trade, working at Hergert & Sons Auto Shop for eight years, and a foreman at Grandy Motors for 10 years. He also was employed as a reserve sergeant for the Portland Police Bureau for four years. He belonged to Machinists Local No. 1374. He is survived by his wife, Aurelia P., one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Dement, Portland; three sons, Virgil H., Portland; Kenneth A., Gresham; and Steve C., Portland; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pearson Mortuary. Burial will be in Rose City Cemetery.
