Michael O'Callaghan, Long Ill, Dies at 78
Michael O'Callaghan, 78, of 255 Green Street, died early Saturday morning following a long illness at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Christine Wichert, South Mass. He has been residing with his daughter for the past three years.

He was born in Doublin, Irelnd, May 31, 1871. Mr. O'Callaghan was formerly employed at the Boston & Maine freight house, and by the Manchester Highway Department for more than 20 years.

He is survived by one son, Eugene M. O'Callaghan, of this city; four daughters, Miss Catherine O'Callaghan of this city, Miss Monica O'Callaghan and Mrs. Christine Wichert, both of South Weymouth, Mass., one Mrs. Arthur E. Card, Jr., of this city ; one sister, Miss Alice O'Callaghan of Peabody, Mass.; three grandsons, one-grandaughter, one great grandson and several nephews and nieces.

Mr. O'Callaghan was a parishioner of St. Anne church, where services will take place Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Burial will be made in the family lot in St. Joseph cemetery. The body is at the residence, 255 Green Street, Where relatives and friends may call at their convenience.

Michael O'Callaghan
The funeral of Michael O'Callaghan took place from his place of residence, 255 Green Street, Monday morning.

A solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated in St. Anne church at 9 o'clock. Rev. Thomas Mason was the celebrant, assisted by Rev. Joseph McDonough as deacon and Rev. William Nieman as subdeacon.

The church choir composed of Mary McCabe and Harry Howe sang at the services and Miss Claire Sasseville was the organist.

Bearers were John Driscoll,Frederick Driscoll, Paul Mahoney, Stevens Lavery, James Martin, and Joseph Bushie.

Attending from out of the city were Miss Alice O'Callaghan, Dennis Driscoll, Miss Barbara Driscoll, Miss Catherine Driscoll, Frederick and John Driscoll, all of Peabody, Mass.

Burial took place in the family lot in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Arthur O. Phaneuf. Father Niemanh Recited the committal prayers at the cemetery.

The A.O. Phaneuf Funeral home had charge of the funeral Arrangements.
