Howard Lloyd Averill, 89, of Snohomish, Washington died January 13, 2013 of natural causes.
Howard was born on July 30, 1923 in Snohomish. A Snohomish High School graduate of 1942, WWII Veteran from 1942-1945, WSU graduate of 1950, Member of Snohomish Tillicum Kiwanis Club, past member of Evergreen Fly Fishing Club and Snohomish Sportsmans Club. He also worked in the Wholesale Floral Distribution business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Loette Averill; his wife of 35 years, Laura Hudon Averill; his son, James; and his second wife of 15 years, Martha Stocker Averill.
He is survived by a son, Richard; daughters, Sharon (Tad) Bettinger and Kat Averill; grandchildren, Monica (Tony) Agostinelli, Phillip (Elizabeth) Averill, Brad (Amanda) Averill, Kyle Bettinger, Trey Averill, and Brandon Averill; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Christian, Colin, Anthony, and Brooklyn; and brothers, Bernie (Margaret), Earl (Patricia) and Lester (Ann).
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, from 11-3 pm at Zion Lutheran Parrish Hall in Snohomish.
