Mr. Jeffrey Henry “Jeff” Davis, 55, of Cedar Street, Carrollton, GA passed away Wednesday morning, May 23, 2012.
Jeff was born in Carrollton, GA on November 23, 1956, the son of the late J. D. Davis and Melba Shadrix Davis. In the mid 1970’s, he attended the University of West Georgia where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and later worked as an estimator at Hannah Electric Contractors. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sister and brothers-in-law, Ella and John Akin of Chapel Hill, NC, twin sister, Janet and Jack Gilbert of Waco, TX, brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Paula Davis, Richard and Mary Jane Davis all of Carrollton, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family memorial service will be held Friday, May 25 in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p. m.
