Johnnie Gordon Bing, 62, husband of Edna M. Bing, died Friday, December 28th in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC.

The hours of public viewing will be on Wednesday, January 2nd, 3-8 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home, Yemassee, SC.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3rd, 12 noon in the First African Baptist Church, Yemassee, SC with burial in the Jackson Cemetery, Yemassee, SC.

Born November 3, 1950, Yemassee, SC, he was a son of the late Cecil Jones Bing and Leonard Bing, Sr. Johnnie attended the Fennell Elementary School, Yemassee and graduated from the North District Training School, Varnville, SC, Class of 1968.

In his early life, he was baptized and united in fellowship with the First African Baptist Church, Yemassee, SC. There he taught Sunday School. In his lifetime, he mastered the skill of brickmasonry and was gainfully employed in this capacity for most of his life.

On August 24, 1968, he was joyously united in holy matrimony to the former Ms. Edna M. Williamson, together they have shared more than forty-four years. To this union, one child was born, Serena Bing Mulligan.
