Wesley C. Condo, 82, of 2114 Sugar Run Road, Mill Hall, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Mill Hall on July 2, 1930, the son of the late Robert and Hattie Bower Condo.

On Jan. 28, 1951 in Lock Haven, he married the former Faye S. Askins, who survives in Mill Hall.

Wes was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953, obtaining the rank of sergeant.

Following his return from service he was a local mechanic before going to work for Piper Aircraft where he retired in 1984 after 30 years of service. He was employed at Wal-Mart in Mill Hall for the past 12 years before his retirement in April of this year.

Wes a life member of the Lock Haven V.F.W., serving as post commander twice.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a loving and devoted husband. His family was his pride and joy and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carol (Charles) Kitchen of Beech Creek and Pam Darby of Blanchard; two sons, Skip and Jeff Condo, both of Mill Hall; two brothers, William and Glen Condo; three sisters, Mary Lamey, Hazel Brown and Thelma Bowes; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Wes was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Steve Darby and Robert Barrett; and four brothers, John, Samuel, Walter and Leroy Condo.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Rev. Troy Kerstetter officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Schenck's Cemetery, Howard. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
