William C. "Bill" Palmer
HOMER, LA- Funeral services will be held for William C. "Bill" Palmer, 75, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Dr. James Simeon. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Mr. Palmer was born May 13, 1931 in Summerfield, LA and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006 at the family farm surrounded by his family following a short illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the First Baptist Church of Homer.
Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Palmer Hudnell & Audrey Palmer Blanchard.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bettye Abrahams Palmer of Summerfield; one daughter, Rhonda Palmer Porter and husband, Greg; one son, Dr. James Palmer and wife, Dottie, all of Homer; one sister, Lalia Palmer Manuel of West Monroe; one brother, C.V. Palmer, Jr. and wife, Norma of Summerfield; three grandchildren, Tiffany Porter, Will Palmer and Lauren Palmer and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Thomas L. McGuire, Jr., James Blanchard, Raymond Winn, Butch Keith, Duane Brown; Anthony Manuel, and Kerry Hudnall.
Honorary pallbearers will be his coffee drinking buddies from Linder's.
