John Collis Watkins, Sr., lived in Enterprise, Coffee Co., AL, and worked for Alabama Power and Light Co. He married Janie Jordan of Elba, AL, in 1927. John and Janie had three children: John Collis, Jr., Janie Charlotte and Ronald, before divorcing in 1952. John returned to Enterprise shortly thereafter where he spent his remaining days.
