Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Brochet Kitchen, 86, of Sealy (formerly of Gonzales) were held Sunday, January 7, 1990 at the St. James Catholic Churvh in Gonzales with Rev. Jim Kotara celebrating the Mass of the Resurrection. The parish rosary was recited Friday evening, January 5, from the Etlinger Funeral Chapel in Sealy.
The former Miss Laura Brochet was born in Gonzales County on April 22, 1903 to parents Antone and Mary Cuvelier Brochet. She was raised and attended school in Gonzales, later marrying Benjamin Clyde Kitchen in Waxahachie on October 25, 1923.
Mrs. Kitchen was a housekeeper and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy, the A.A.T.P. of Sealy and the Alter Society. Mrs. Kitchen died Thursday, January 4, 1990 in the Azalea Manor Nursing Home.
Guneral services were held under the direction of Etlinger Funeral Home of Sealy.
