Jessie Ward Maddux, 85, of Morro Bay died Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, at her home. A service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Benedict-Rettey Mortuary in Morro Bay with the Rev. Leland Shepherd officiating. Cremation is planned with burial at sea from San Simeon to follow the service. Mrs. Maddux was born Sept. 26, 1907, in Corinth, Miss. She had lived in Morro Bay 13 years. She is survived by her daugher, Mary Canady of Morro Bay; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
