Billy L. Knepp, 77, of Clearfield died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital.

He was born Oct. 29, 1935, a son of the late Kenneth and Grace (Wisor) Knepp.

Mr. Knepp retired in 1999 from Penn Fuel Gas after 29 years of employment. He was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Clearfield, and served with the U.S. Army Reserves for nine years.

He is survived by five children, Bradley Knepp of Pittsburgh, Michael Knepp of Morrisdale, Randy Knepp of Florida, Ricky Sharp of Woodland and Karen Hendershot and her husband, Dean of Madera; three step-children, Diane Ghaner and her husband, Harry of Clearfield, Jeffrey Kimbell of Butler and Debra Teats; several grandchildren; two brothers, Benny and Leo Knepp; and five sisters, Garnett Reasinger, Wanda Hoover, Louise Lowe, Joan Green and Kathy Cutler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Keith) Knepp on Oct. 8, 2008 and whom he wed June 23, 1972. He was also preceded in death by a grandson and two sisters, Norma Pry and Lucy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts' honor guards.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1002 Park Avenue Ext., Clearfield.
