She was born June 9, 1919, in Patrick County, Va., to the late John and Katie Bateman Anderson.
She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Larry Anderson, Rural Hall; a grandson, David Bolden; a great-grandson, Matthew Bolden, Winston-Salem; and a sister, Thelma Burge, Mount Airy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Cox; and a brother, Arthur Anderson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 6, at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Bill Faw.
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
