The wife of Clement A Dickson, Hazel Bassett Dickson was born in a town that no longer exists! Enfield, Hampshire Co, Massachusetts was "disincorporated" in the 1930's along with 3 other towns, Greenwich, Dana and Prescott, to make way for the Quabbin Reservoir, which supplies fresh drinking water to Boston, MA about 75 miles away. Hazel moved to Springfield to live with her grandparents, Joseph and Emma (Bailey) Tuggey whose memorials are also posted here at Find-A-Grave. In Springfield, she and her husband, Clement, raised 4 children, Beatrice (1924-2003), Clement (1926-1990), Janet (1932-2003) and Gertrude (1934-2007).
