AMBERSON -- Ray J. Eckenrode, 91, of 16277 Johnson Road died Sunday at home. He was retired from Stanley Co. and worked for the Turnpike Commission, was a Fannett Twp. supervisor and owner/operator of a saw mill and farm. He was a member of Amberson United Methodist Church and trustee and usher. He was the widower of Ruth G. Timmons Eckenrode.
Surviving are a son, John of Newville; 1 daughter; a brother, Earl of Amberson; two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter; and a companion, Edith DeWalt of Amberson. Services will be held at Agett Funeral Home, Dry Run. Burial will be in Amberson Union Cemetery. The Patriot-News Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pa. May 29, 2000
