Robert O. Booth was born December 19, 1842, in Whiteside county, Illinois. Shortly after becoming of age, he married Miss Delapp. One daughter came to bless their home, she was Mrs. Beva Cook, now Mrs. Howard, residing at Des Moines.

Mr. Booth was a member of the [R.]L.D.S. church.

In 1879 he married Mary Foreman, lived for years at Davis City, from there he moved to Wirt and came to Lamoni in 1899. He died June 15, 1904, at three p.m., of dropsy.

Funeral services from [RLDS] brick church June 17, in charge of John Smith, Pres. Joseph Smith preached the sermon. Was laid to rest in Rosehill cemetery.

Notes Robert O. Booth was baptized a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 7 November 1886 at Lamoni, Decatur, Iowa, by A. S. Cochran. He was confirmed by A. S. Cochran, H. Church, and E. Banta. He attended the Iowa branches at Lamoni and Wirt.
