WILLIAM BUTLER DEAD
Native of Newport, Ohio, Dies at West Main Street Home

Mr. William Butler, 74, passed away at his home, 1205 west Main street at 2:30 p.m. yesterday after suffering from a year's illness of complications.

He was born in Ohio, near Newport, on a farm where he spent his early life and came to Madison four years ago from Bridgeport, Ind. Mr. Butler was a cooper by trade and was a member of West Madison M.E. Church.

Besides his wife, Margaret, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Dora Ford, Akron, O., one granddaughter, four sisters, Mrs. Ida Mosser, Fay, O., Mrs Susie Beaver, Paden City, W. Va., Mrs Carrie Wynn, East Liverpool, O., Mrs Bessie Collett, Henrietta, Okla., and one brother, John Butler, leaving near Newport, O.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at West Maidson M. E. church with Rev. C. O. Carnes. Rev. J. M. Taylor and Rev. John Ross officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Friends are invited to view the remains at Haigh's until the time of the services.
