6th Connecticut Regiment under Captain Samuel Barker, enlisted 25 December 1777 for the duration of the war. He was reported sick in June and admitted to the General Hospital at Fishkill in July. He died 5 August 1778.

I think that the Uzziel Cook who died 5 Aug 1778 is Uzziel Cook Jr., who was born 21 Jul 1761 in Branford and is the son of the Uzziel Cook whose birth record is referenced in the original post. The younger Uzziel Cook's probate was listed in Hartford, CT 20 Oct 1778 as Uzziel Cook Jr. The administrators were Uzziel Cook and Demetrius Cook who I believe are the father and uncle of the Revolutionary War soldier noted buried here.
