NEW ALBANY – Audrey Adell Adair, 93, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Union County on March 10, 1921, the daughter of Earl and Pearl Rakestraw Pannell. She was a member of the Assembly of God denomination and a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Services will be at noon Saturday, May 24, at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany with Bro. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will be in Adair-Gresham Cemetry. Glenfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 75 years, Roy E. Adair; son-in-law, Lynn Benefield; grandson, Tim Benefield and wife, Tanya, all of New Albany; brother, the Rev. Wallace Pannell of Baldwyn; and sister, Lucille Benefield of New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Edna Benefield; two brothers, Wayne and Fred Pannell; and three sisters, Nora Lee Pannell, Gracie Gammel and Birdie Clayton.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
