Funeral services for James Wilton Speegle, 87, of Logan will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Moss Funeral Chapel, Delbert Freeman officiating, with burial in Bowman Chapel Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Speegle died Thursday, Dec. 2, at his residence. He was born Dec. 1, 1917, to James Garren and Gertie Walker Speegle. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rose Moseley; one son, Allen Speegle; two sisters, Lillian Pope and Margaret Calvert; five brothers, Troy Speegle, Loys Speegle, Eugene Speegle, Clyde Speegle and Wendell Speegle; and one grandson, Ray Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Dingler Speegle; two sons, Floyd (Dean) Speegle and Jerry (Joetta) Speegle; four daughters, Myra S. (Douglas) Phillips, Janet (Douglas) Calvert, Virginia (Bill) Southard and Kathy Misegades; one brother, Calvin Speegle; two sisters, Helen Calvert and Nona Mae Phillips; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
