Lorraine Lucille Collins, age 86 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Tanner Medical Center. She was born December 15, 1929 in Butterfield, Minnesota to the late Theodore Lawrence Hanson and Lucille Philp Hanson. She worked in the silk screen printing industry for more than 30 years. She was a longtime faithful member of Carrollton First Christian Church where she was also joined and served with the Victory Sunday School Class, the Keenagers, and the Alpha Ministry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alton J. Collins; son, Michael James Collins; brothers, Dale Hanson and Mervin Hanson; sister, Evelyn Tiernan; and an infant brother and sister. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Pam Smith of Carrollton, Cindy Williamson (Joe) of Franklin, GA, Bill Collins (Kelly) of Sandhill Community, Neva Higgs (Keith) of Carrollton, Tony Collins (Lorri) of Bremen, Beth Bailey (Tony) of Bowdon, GA, and Debbie Rollins (Kenny) of Carrollton; her sister and her spouse, Sandra Miller (Larry) of Stanhope, IA; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM from Carrollton First Christian Church with Min. Randy Barnhardt, Mr. Dick Ingle, and Mr. Matt Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Joe Arnoldy, Zach Howard, Rodney Earl, Johnny Earl, Ben Marshall, and Ben Rollins. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Dobbs, Kevin Paden, Roger Gray, and the Victory Sunday Class.
Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
