-obituary from the hand written obituary in the family bible of Emma Kleutsch Negles (my grandmother and granddaughter of Delphine.) Kathy's kin n more-

"Mrs. Eugene DuChaine, the mother of eighteen children, thirteen of whom are living, a resident of Wausau for a little more than a year, passed away at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at her home, 202 South Fourth street, after a lingering illness caused by internal disorders, due to advanced years.

The deceased, who prior to her marriage was known as Miss Delphine Jarvis, was sixty years of age having been born on July 15, 1848, at Montreal, Canada. When three years of age she came with her parents to Wisconsin, Fondulac being the place where their first home was established. She remained at that place until the age of sixteen, when she married Eugene DuChaine. Mr. and Mrs. DuChaine have lived at FonduLac a year longer, then moved to GreenBay, where they lived for eleven years. From there they returned to Dorchester and after twelve years abode there, they came to Wausau, early in the spring of last year.

Mrs. DuChaine leaves a widower and thirteen children; two brothers and a sister. The children are six sons; Eugene DuChaine, Jr. of Westboro, Edmund of Rib Lake, Rueben of Flagstaff, Ariz., Peter of Merrill and Fred and William of Wausau; seven daughters, Mrs. M. Kleutsch of Phillips, Mrs. Amanda Hyde of Wallace, Idaho, Mrs. James Curtain and Mrs. Daniel Cohen of Chicago, Mrs. Joseph Schubert{Shobutte]of Merrill and Misses Ollie and Evelyn DuChaine of Wausau. Two brothers Louis Jarvis of Cloquet, Minn., and John of Wagner, Wis. also survive as does one sister Mrs. R. J. Wiltsey of Chicago.

The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church, Rev. P. L. Gasper officiating. Interment will be made in St. Joseph's cemetery."
