Mary Jane Beasley, age 91 of Liberty, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2013 in Liberty, TX. Mary was born March 29, 1922 in Alpine, AL, daughter of James and Lucy Leach Edwards. Mary was a housewife most of her life. She married the love of her life on October 19, 1947, Derwood Beasley. They moved to Liberty in 1974 and remained here in Liberty until her departure in life. Mary attended Berry College in Rome, GA and earned her degree in home economics.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; John Richard Edwards, Amos Edwards, William Edwards, Louie Edwards, John Thomas Edwards, Charles Bascom Edwards, sisters; Eula Mae Edwards, Annie Beal Edwards, and Sarah Ada Lee Edwards. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 66 years; Derwood M. Beasley of Liberty, sons; Richard Beasley and wife Cecelia of Liberty, Robert Beasley of Liberty, sister; Margaret Bearden of Sylacauga, AL, grandchildren; Mitchell Beasley, David Beasley, Jason Beasley and wife Kristin, Catherine Gassett and husband Cheyenne, great-grandchildren; Christopher, Gregory, Cameron, Kaylin and Caiden Beasley.
