Theresa S. Mancuso, 73, of Laurel, DE, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at the home of her daughter.

She was born August 20, 1939 in Fredonia, New York, a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Goth.

Theresa was a loving mother of five who had a passion for painting, poetry, reading and statue restoration. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Seaford, and a member of the Third Order of Carmelites. In the past she was a member of the Legion of Mary, and served in the women's auxiliary to the Knights of Columbus. Theresa was a longtime supporter of The Covenant House, a nonprofit charity serving homeless youth. Her love for her family, country life and dogs brought her great joy.

She is survived by five children, Lisa Schrecongost of Scranton, PA, Mary Ludemann (Jim) of Delmar, DE, Michael Mancuso (companion, James Friesen) of Washington, D.C., Annie Dethloff (Rick) of Delmar, MD, and Theresa Priolette (Michael) of Ft. Myers, FL; ten grandchildren, Kyle Schrecongost (Jessalie), Megan Schrecongost, Jacob Ludemann, Benjamin Mancuso, Jessica Ludemann, Joshua Priolette, Elijah Dethloff, Ryan Priolette, Tyler Priolette and Isaac Dethloff; a great granddaughter, Zoe Schrecongost; a brother, Michael H. Goth of Hilton, NY; two sisters, Marty Rexford of Grove Port, OH and Kathryn G. Smit of Port Clinton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Mancuso; a brother, Thomas J. Goth; and a sister, Martha R. Goth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 532 E. Stein Highway, in Seaford, on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Blades. Father Charles Hergenroeder will officiate.

Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
