She was born in Joliet, and a lifelong Joliet/Elwood area resident. A graduate of Joliet Township High School. Following high school graduation, she was employed at the Insurance Exchange in Chicago, and Caterpillar in Joliet. She has been a longtime member of the St. Joseph Hospital Women's Auxiliary.
Preceded by her husband, Robert R. Brown (1996); her parents, Armando and Ada (nee Fiori) Bianchi; and one brother, Hugo Bianchi.
Survived by one son, Michael R. Brown of Buffalo Grove; and one sister, Mary Lanham of Lockport. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Virginia A. Brown will be Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment Brown Cemetery in Elwood.
Visitation Monday, 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
