KEYSER, W.Va. —

Dariel H. “Dotsy” Bell, 83, of Route. 1, Keyser, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at his daughter’s residence.

Born December 24, 1929, at Piedmont, he was a son of the late Guy H. Bell and Myrtle (Paugh) Bell. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Haskell Bell, and sisters, Mernie Bell and Leagwen (Bell) Wilson.

Mr. Bell was a 1948 graduate of Piedmont High School; he attended Potomac State College until being drafted into the United States Army, where he served in the Korean Conflict.

He was retired from New Page/Westvaco in 1999 after 45 years of service.

Mr. Bell was a lifetime member of Kelley Mansfield Post 52, American Legion, Piedmont, Post 52 Last Man’s Club and Nancy Hanks Post 3518 VFW, Keyser.

Surviving are his only daughter, Kimberley Lynn Speir and husband Brian; and his only grandson, Dakota Speir, all of Keyser. He is also survived by his best friend and sister, Doris B. Corrie of Keyser, and sister Joan Healy Conway of Frostburg, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Morris officiating.

Interment will follow in Philos Cemetery, Westernport, where military honors will be accorded.
