George was husband of Emogene "Emma" Adams of Orleans County; they were parents of 9, Albert J, John Reuben, Mary Amanda, William Elias, Margaret "Maggie," Frances Maud, Ellen May, & 2 children who died as infants.

Holley, NY, May 13, 1916 – The death of George Ball, a well known and lifelong resident of the town of Murray, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emilus L. Rowley of Murray. Mr. Ball was 86 years of age, coming to this country when about 20 years of age. He leaves four sons, A.J. Ball of Byron, A.S. Ball of Holley, J.R. Ball of Hulburton and W.E. Ball of Murray; three daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Rowley of Murray, Mrs. Margaret Groves of Murray and Mrs. Ellen M. Henry of Albion. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence, Rev. O.R. Newman officiating.
