Ada A. Dykstra, 96, of Luverne , Minn., died Sunday Jun 4, in the Mary Jane Brown Home - Good Samaritan Center in Luverne.
Ada was born Jan 23, 1893 to Albert and Abbie (Bush) Button. She grew up in Iowa and South Dakota, attended Sioux Falls College and graduated in 1919.
She taught school for one year and married David Dykstra Dec 24, 1926 in Chicago, Ill.
After their marriage they lived in Hasting, Neb. For 10 years and in 1947 moved to Orange City where they lived for 30 years.
Mr. Dykstra died in June, 1977. She moved to Luverne, Minn. in 1977 and lived at the Blue Mound Towers. In January of this year Ada moved into the Mary Jane Brown Home.
She was a member of American Reformed Church of Luverne.
Survivors include her son John of Aberdeen, MD., and a daughter, Mrs. George (Trudy) Den Herder of Luverne, Minn.
