He was born March 2, 1941, in Lafayette to the late Wilbur J. and Jean Richards Tyrie. Daniel graduated from Brownsburg High School and on February 13, 1965 he married Nona "Kate" Crocheck in Stockwell and she survives.
Mr. Tyrie owned and operated Tyrie Mower Repair for 31 years and is retired. He enjoyed gambling, horse racing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife are his sons Todd E. Tyrie wife Kitty of York, SC, Jeff Tyrie wife Sandy of Lafayette, Patrick Tyrie and companion Carrie DeStefano of Lafayette, grandchildren Jaidyn and Madison Tyrie, Joshuah,Olivia and Seann Stone.
Also surviving is a sister Carole King of Lafayette and a brother Jeff Tyrie wife Pat of Ft. Worth, TX.
Daniel was preceded in death by an infant sister Lori Louise Tyrie .
