1906 - "Miss Lulu Wilcox, the elocutionist, left for the west yesterday after a visit with her brother Bert Wilcox and wife of S. Center street." [Corry Journal Sept 22, 1906]

1911 - "Miss Lula Mae Wilcox spent several hours ... it was agreed with her to produce her play 'The Talk of the Town' in Warren ... the production is a very pleasing one was recently given in Olean, Sheffield and Corry and other places to large crowds." [Warren Times Mar 25, 1911]

1920 - "IS DIRECTING SUMMER RESORT ENTERTAINMENTS - Friends of Miss Lula Mae Wilcox of this city will be glad to know that she is meeting with excellent success in her work and is at present at Stone Harbor, N.J., a summer resort, about 60 miles south of Atlantic City, where she is putting on a 'Children's Carnival' in the ball room of the Shelter Haven Hotel. This will be followed by 'A Night in Venice' ... seats selling at $1.00 and $2.50, and at Wilmington Del., where it was given for the benefit of the Children's Welfare Society of the State of Delaware. Miss Wilcox expects to return here soon to go to Chautauqua where she will speend a couple of weeks ..."

"DEATH CLAIMS LULU M. WILCOX - Well Known Resident Died Sunday Afternoon After a Lingering Illnes of Several Months - Lulu Mae Wilcox passed away ... complication of diseases, after a lingering illness, being confined to her bed nine months. She was an unusual and cheerful sufferer and maintained her sunny, hopeful disposition to the last.

She was the youngest of the family of six children of Dr. and Mrs. W. P. Wilcox. She was born at Findley Lake, N. Y. and is survived by one brother, C. Bert Wilcox and one sister Mrs. S. R. Lewis, with whom she made her home. ... her ability as a reader and entertainer ... position as teacher of Dramatic Art and Expression in Greenville, Illinois, College. ..."

"FUNERAL OF MISS WILCOX - Funeral services in memory of Miss Lula Mae Wilcox, was held ... attended by relatives and friends, including the Historical Circle, which were present in body. ... Interment was made in Pine Grove Cemetery .. bearers being, H.O. Ketner, Tom Williams, CLYDE WILCOX, Daniel Depew, Arthur Schaub and Albert McElroy. ..."
