He was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Waynesville, a son of Arthur L. and Ruby Robb Adair.
He married Mary Emily Maxwell on March 30, 1941, in Atlanta. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Craig, Olympia, Wash.; one brother, Jerry, Waynesville; one sister, Mary Robinson, Atchison, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Adair was a member of the Bloomington Township Volunteer, Fire Department for 33 years. He served on the Election Board of Brigham School for 39 years and was a member of American Legion, Bloomington. He attended the University of Illinois.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in an antiaircraft battalion.
Mr. Adair farmed for 38 years in Bloomington Township before his retirement.
