Pamela is a graduate of Varnado High School, 1977, and Cameron College of New Orleans, Louisiana. She also completed nursing studies at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond and Prairie View A & M University in Prairie View, Texas. She worked as a nurse and retired after more than 20 years of service in the profession as a LVN at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Ms. Ishola served as president for the Harris County Hospital District Board from 2007 until 2011.
Pamela was preceded in death by her mother Veola Morris Smith, her brother Alton Lefon Smith and her late husband Larry Foster.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with the Funeral services to follow at Live Oak United Methodist Church in Angie on Tuesday, April 9 2013 at 11 AM with Rev. August - officiating.
Interment will be held at Live Oak Cemetery.
