According to the 1900 census she was born January 1876 [sic] in Illinois, had been married seven years, was the mother of seven children, two were living, and farmed in Plum Creek township, Butler County, Nebr. with her husband Andrew (Andress) Pinney and their two daughters Mary and Ella.

Mrs. Pinney, wife of A. T. Pinney, died last Saturday night of childbirth, aged 32 years. She leaves a husband and two children, six children having died. The funeral took place Monday at the Ulysses M.E. church. Deceased was a kind-hearted, Christian lady, whose loss will be felt by the community. She carried $2,000 life insurance in the Degree of Honor.

Resolutions of condolence and sympathy adopted by Ulysses Lodge, No. 136 D. of H. (A.O.U.W.)

WHEREAS, An all wise Creator has seen fit to remove from midst our beloved sister, Ora I. Pinney, therefore be it

Resolved, That while we bow in humble submission to the providence of an all wise Creator, yet we may express our heartfelt sorrow and sympathy to the bereaved family, and admonish them to look to Him who has promised to care for the fatherless and to sustain them in time of sad affliction.

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the records of this lodge, that a copy be presented to the family of our deceased sister, and that the same be published.
