Rebecca Jane "Jennie" Redmond/Redmon/Redman (variations in the spelling of her maiden name) married Samuel Robert Barnes on 21 Jan 1861 in Williamson County, Tennessee

" Jennie" is the daughter of William J Redmon/d and Susan Cox which lived, married, died in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Jennie and Robert together from TN census records, they had 13 known children.

* For Genealogy Purposes - Child Bertie listed on 1880 TN census is enumerated as Male ; then Bertie listed as Female located on 1900 TN census. Her "full name " is often not used. Bettie Proudfoot is found but possibly to be as Bertie can confuse Researchers. But, on her daugher, Eva Rebecca Proudfoot, Delayed Birth Record Eva lists her mother full name as
Bertie married Dr. James Lewis Proudfoot having children. One Grandson and Great Grandson. Today, she has Descendants from her son., James Lewis Proudfoot Jr, died 1965, which had a son, Homer Lewis Proudfoot 1937-2017. Bertie Barnes Proudfoot is on her Headstone in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, McMinn County Tennessee.

After the 1900 death of her husband she remarried William Huddleston. She was living near or with her daughter, Martha " Maggie" Barnes Kennedy, in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee USA.

TN death certificate listed her age as 72, cause of death- Cerebral Hemorrhage.

TN death record lists burial in Jackson, Madison, Tennessee. Hollywood is a historic large cemetery.

Jennie must have been a great strong mother, wife, sister, grandmother, as her family named their children after her in various forms using, Jennie, Jane, Rebecca, as well as middle name used as Barnes, Redmond in her grandchildren.... Too, her mother maiden name of Cox used in the Kennedy line....in the Daughter, Margaret Barnes Ament , she had five daughter's..refer to their names. It has continued for generations.

Son, George W Barnes which possibly purchased the family burial plot, had his Mother's initial's J R Barnes and a date of scribed on the stairs leading up to the gravesite.... the Year 1899. It is possible the son's such as George, and
A D, Went in together to purchase this plot. Cemetery Records should have who purchased the burial plots.
