Albert R. Nessel
March 24, 1919 — April 25, 2005
Albert Robert Nessel, 86, of Modesto died Monday at Doctors Medical Center.
Mr. Nessel was a native of Svensen, Ore., and had lived in Modesto since 1980. He was a retail clerk for 40 years, working primarily for Purity Stores. He served in the Army from 1944-46 and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3199 of Modesto. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Norma B. Nessel of Modesto; children, Tim Nessel of Copperopolis and Bob Nessel of Sacramento; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Nessel; three brothers; and one sister.
Private services. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
