Funeral service for Alma Jean Smith, 83, of Mt. Hope will be Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at noon at Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church with Mike Boone and Debbie Williams officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Smith died on Sunday, June 2, 2013. She was born on September 22, 1929, in Franklin County to the late Clarence Smith and Louise Scruggs Smith. She was a member of Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Emmett Smith; her parents; her granddaughter, April Campbell; and her brother, Morris Smith.

She is survived by her two sons, James Floyd Smith (Janie) of Mt. Hope and Dewayne Smith (Linda) of Moulton; two daughters, Pam Campbell (Bobby) and Angie Smith, all of Mt. Hope; two grandsons, Chris Smith (Melanie) of McCalla and Brian Campbell (Shena) of Mt. Hope; four granddaughters, Michelle Daniel (Brett) of Mt. Hope, Emily Hurst (Josh) of Florence, Allison Lamon (Brad) of Trinity, and Kaci Quails (Darrell) of Mt. Hope; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Smith of Mt. Hope; a sister, Sarah Herring (Harold) of Russellville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brian Campbell, Darrell Quails, Chris Smith, Gabriel Early, Josh Hurst, and Brad Lamon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery or Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church.
