He is mentioned in his twin brother's obituary from INDIANA WEEKLY MESSENGER (Indiana, PA) April 30, 1928, Milton's obituary mentions him:
"Milton Whitfield Adair,...was the twin brother of Calvin Spurgeon Adair and was born in this county, December 20, 1840. They both enlisted at this place for service in the Civil War in Company K. 105th Pennsylvania volunteer infantry. Calvin was killed at the battle of Fair Oaks, Va., May 31, 1862."
