Ackart was born at Schaghticoke, and had lived at Mechanicville for the last six years. He was a member of the Schaghticoke Presbyterian Church, and of the Masonic Fraternity.
The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Gerbeck(sic)[Groesbeck] of Schaghticoke and Miss Mary(sic) [Margaret] B. Ackart, Principal of the Mechanlcville High School; one son, William E. Ackart of this city, and a brother, Jacob C. Ackart of this city. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from the residence . Burial will be in Schaghticoke.
