Found in The State 09 April 1962: Mrs. Louise Adams Wallace of 1714 Senate Street, wife of James M. Wallace, died at the Columbia Hospital at 10 o'clock Saturday night. Mrs. Wallace was born near Gadsden, a daughter of the late James I. and Caroline Leverette Adams. She made her home in Columbia most of her life where she was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church. Mrs. Wallace was also a member of the Colonial Dames, the Women's Club, the Columbia Garden Club and The Sketch Club. Survivors include her husband; a son, James M. Wallace, Jr., of Akron, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. John Taylor of Columbia, and eight grandchildren as follows: Frances Wallace Taylor, John Taylor Jr., Elizabeth Mary Taylor, Catherine Louise Taylor, James M. Wallace III, Margaret Scott Wallace, William Fleming Wallace and Louise Adams Wallace; three sisters, Mrs. Lalla Stark and Miss Lila F. Adams, both of Columbia, and Mrs. James M. Rhett of Beaufort; three brothers, Charles L. Adams of Columbia, and Harry W. Adams and Milton L. Adams, both of Lykesland. Funeral services will be conducted from Trinity Episcopal Church at 3 o'clock this afternoon by the Rev. James Stirling, rector. Interment will be in the Wallace plot in Elmwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Frank D. Bell, Sr., Lawrence M. Taylor Jr., Edward A. Taylor, James M. Rhett, William B. Harley, David H. Means, James P. Garick and Atherton Whaley.
