According to his Washington State death record, Loren was the son of William Clark and Sarah Stella McMillin. His wife was named Edith. The date of of his death was given as Nov. 20, 1944 in Aberdeen. This differs from that given in his obit as, Nov. 18, 1944 in South Bend.

"Loren Clark, Former Resident And Pioneer Dies At South Bend

The death of Loren A. Clark whose home has been in South Bend, Washington for the past seven years, occurred there on November 18, 1944. The funeral was held on the 24th, with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in South Bend.

Mr. Clark's grand-parents, Rev. D. R. McMillin and Jason S. Clark arrived in the White River Valley, now the Green River Valley, about 1863 and settled on the land now covered by the city of Kent. The grandfathers and uncles owned substantially all the acreage now included within Kent's city limits.

Loren Clark was born February 5, 1870. He is survived by his widow, Edith of South Bend, and by two brothers, Irving C. and Homer L. Clark, both living in Kent, and numerous relatives in Seattle and other points in Washington."
