Albert was the son of William Bordwell and Helen Scribner. He married Frances Smith on Feb 20, 1928.

Dec 2, 1965 - Kossuth County Advance - Livermore — Funeral services for Albert E. Bordwell (Bob), 60, were held at Sacred Heart Catholic church at Livermore Monday morning. The Rev. Donald Smith of Ogden, brother-in-law of Mr. Bordwell, officiated at the services with the Lindhart Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Union cemetery.

Mr. Bordwell was born and reared at Livermore and had been employed by both the Rock Island and M. & St. L. railroads for several years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Francis Smith, to whom he was married Feb. 20, 1928 and six children. They are Mrs. Albert Schmidtke of Humboldt; Mrs. Karsten Koitli (Lavina) of Imperial Beach, Calif; Richard of Livermore; Theodore (Jerry) of Phoenix, Ariz.; Thorn as of Minot, No. Dak.; and Charles of Webster City.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four sisters: Mrs Lawrence McPherson, Mrs Zeke Smith, both of Livermore; Mrs. Sarah Funk of Algona; and Mrs. Orville Riley of Corwith; one brother Ace of Webster City.

A young brother, Louis, preceded him in death a few weeks ago.
