Francis J. Kearns, 96, of Manchester, NH, died June 4, 2013, at a local healthcare facility, after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, NH on July 10, 1916, he was the son of John J. and Helen (Martin) Kearns. He resided in Brookhaven, PA for many years before returning to the Queen City in 1985.

He graduated from Manchester High School West, Class of 1935.

During World War II, he served with the United States Navy.

Until his retirement in 1982, he was a ground support equipment engineer for Boeing Air Company for thirty years.

Devoted to his faith, he was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church and St. Joseph Cathedral, where he served as an usher.

Frank was a third degree knight and treasurer with the Knights of Columbus, Council 5250 and member and treasurer with the Manchester Lions Club.

An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of the Intervale Country Club.

He was a life member with the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post No. 2, the Raphael Club and the Sierra Club.

He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Burke and a brother, Thomas Kearns.

Burial will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
