Obituary - Jacob I. Murray. Preston County Journal. Kingwood, WV. Thur., Mar. 3, 1932.
Excerpt -- Jacob I. Murray was born near Sinclair on May 10, 1864, departed this life Feb. 26, 1932. He was united in marriage to Euretta Lawarence on May 3, 184. To this union were born six children, namely Mrs. W. E. Clark of Fairmont, Mrs. F. F. Lewis of Newburg, Mrs. Perry Bucklew of Newburg, Mrs. V. E. Howell of Independence, W. H. Murray of Aliquippa, Pa., and Miss. Katheryn at home, also eleven grandchildren, one brother, T. K. Murray of Kasson, three sisters, Mrs. Alice Kimmel of Newburg, Mrs. A. T. Haney of Aliquippa, Pa., and Mrs. W. W. Stafford of Kingwood, survive. He was well and favorably known throughout Preston County where he spent the greater part of his life. Funeral services were conducted from the Mt. Zion Church near Fellowsville at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon by the Rev. A. J. Shahan of Fellowsville, assisted by the Rev. P. W. Arbogast of the Newburg M. E. Church of which the deceased was a member. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
