Berlyn J. Payne, 75, of Coconut Creek, Fla., formerly of Decatur, died 7:35 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 20, 1986) in Beverly Manor Nursing Home, Margate, Fla.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral home with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Memorials: Calvary Presbyterian church, Coconut Creek, Fla.
Mr. Payne was born in Decatur, son of Richard and Carrie Payne. He was formerly employed as general superintendent for Wabash Railroad and was a member of Calvary Presbyterian church of Coconut Creek. He married Helen Thomas in 1935.
Surviving are his wife; brother, Larry J. of Decatur; sister, Mrs. Guy (Kathryn) Arrowsmith of Champaign.
