New Albany - Hermon Lee Richey, 76, died Sunday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis. He was a retired employee of the Mississippi Highway Department, a World War II army veteran and a member of the Blue Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today, April 14, 1988, at United Funeral Service chapel with Rev. H.L. Barnes Jr. and the Rev. C.C. Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Ferrell Hall Richey of New Albany; his mother, Bertha Rakestraw Richey of Tupelo, one stepson, Cecil H. Reeves of New Albany; four sisters, Mary Elder of New Albany, Bonnie Dunlap of Bisbee, Arizona, Bessie Donnahoo and Virgie Potter, both of Fort Worth, Texas; three brother, Willis Richey and Joe Richey both of Tupelo and Thomas Richey of Fort Worth, Texas; three step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tupelo Dialysis Center.
