Martha "Jean" Anderson, 67, of the Reidville community, passed peacefully in her home on June 5, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Mason Anderson, Jr., and Gladys Harling Anderson.

Ms. Anderson was retired from Greenville County School system where she served as Librarian at Hillcrest High School for 26 years. She was a member and past President of Alpha Delta Kappa, Iota Chapter. She was a member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church, and Jean served as an ordained Elder and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed 18 years of perfect attendance with Fountain Inn Rotary Club where she served as President 2009-10., Rotarian of the Year, Paul Harris Fellow and enjoyed working with youth leadership awards and scholarships. She was First Chairman for two years of the Golden Strip Relay for Life and involved for ten years. She was a charter member and past President of Reidville Historical Society. Jean is listed in Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in American Education.

She is survived by two sisters, Pat A. Rogers (Don) of Greenville and Ann A. Harris (Ed) of Clemson, one niece Paula Harris Sabbath (Michael) of California, three nephews, Dean Rogers of Atlanta, Craig Rogers (Deanna) of Wendell, NC and Ben Harris of Pawleys Island, S.C.

Special thanks for Hospice nurse, Lashay Hilliburton and care providers, Ingrid, Jean, Kristin, LaFrance and Laura.
Memorial services will be held at Nazareth Presbyterian Church, 680 Nazareth Church Road, Moore, SC 29369 on Saturday, June 15, at 2:00 p.m. followed by visitation in the Family Life Center.

The families are at their respective homes.

Jean has requested contributions be made to Thornwell Home for Children, 302 S. Broad Street, Clinton, SC 29325 or Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334.
