Mrs. Carrie Anderson Succumbs
Mrs. Carrie Mae Anderson, Route 3, Orleans, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at her home after suffering a heart attack.
She was born December 24, 1913 in Laurel County, KY, to James M. and Sallie Phillips Jones.
Mrs. Anderson was an employee of the TraVler(sic) Radio Corporation at Orleans.
She was united in marriage to Willie Anderson on December 24, 1937 and he survives.
Other survivors are five sons, James Anderson of Hammond, Jack of Route 3, Orleans, Daniel, with the U. S. Air Force on Okinawa, Donnie and Willie both of Route 2, Orleans; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Phillips of Madison Heights, Michigan; three grandchildren; two brothers, Woodrow Jones of London, KY, and James of Route 3, Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. Delorah Jarvas(sic) of Mitchell and Mrs. Bonnie Gaines of Aliquippa, PA.
One son preceded her in death in 1944.
She was a member of the United Baptist Church at Fariston, KY.
Funeral services will be announced later by the Haverly Mortuary, pending word from the son on Okinawa. The Rev. Dearl Cooper will officiate. Friends may call at Chapel A of the Haverly Mortuary after 6 p.m. today.
