Mr. Seeley was born in Waterbury on May 21, 1948, son of the late Theodore R. and Twila (Ireland) Seeley. He grew up in the Waterville section of Waterbury where he graduated from Sprague Grammar School and Kennedy High School. After high school, Brian enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He later returned and settled in Watertown with his wife.
Brian loved going to Lake George, picnicking with his family and friends, and spending time with his beloved "grandog," Buddy.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Stefanie Seeley and fiance, Paul Taylor of Watertown; his sisters, Carol Natale of Oakville, Twila Dews and her husband, Arthur, of Watertown, Betty Foti and her husband, Carmen, of Waterbury; a brother, Richard Seeley and his wife, Lorraine, of Danbury; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Brian was predeceased by six brothers, Tom, Jack, Ted, Robert, Bernard and Charles.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. Monday, June 10, from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St., to All Saints' Episcopal Church, 262 Main St., Oakville, for a service in thanksgiving of his life at 10 a.m. Burial will follow with military honors in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
