A native of Bonham, he came here from Albuquerque a year ago. He was a construction painter, and a member of Painters Local No. 544.
Survivors include four sons, Buster of Albuquerque, Billy of Amarillo, James B. of 1700 S. Roosevelt, Lee M. of Haywood, Calif; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Walton of 3915 San Jacinto and Mrs. Francis Buzick of Carson City, Nev; a brother, Luther T. of Duke, Okla.; four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Stevens of Houston, Mrs. Allie Boswell of Duke, Mrs. C.L. Thomas of 312 N. Bryan and Mrs. Janie Massy of Altus, Okla.; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors.

Funeral services for Robert Roscoe Burnside, 71, of 1700 S. Roosevelt, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in N.S. Griggs Pioneer Chapel.
Dr. Harry Vanderpool of Polk Street Methodist Church will officiate.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Albuquerque.
Mr. Burnside, a construction painter, died Thursday afternoon in Hillhaven Convalescent Home, where he had been a patient four weeks.
