Jerry Marie Alexander, 77, of Wichita Falls, passed away Friday, June 07, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Fairway Baptist Church with Pastors Brett Storseth and Roger Deerinwater officiating. Burial will follow at the Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors from 7:00-8:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the funeral home.
Jerry was born on March 29, 1936 to Travis Lee and Mary Earlene (Whitsett) Young in Olney, Texas. She was a graduate of Olney High School and married Glenn D. Alexander on June 26, 1954. The couple had three children. Jerry was a homemaker who loved to crochet and was also an avid reader. She was very devoted to her family and was especially fond of large family gatherings. Jerry loved spending the holidays with her family. She was a member of Fairway Baptist Church where she was very active.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn in 2012, her son Larry Glenn in 1960, her brother Bennie Young in 1983 and her parents.
She is survived by her two children, Tracie Alexander of Wichita Falls, Texas and Jeff Alexander and wife Laura of Flower Mound, Texas and one grandchild Rebekah Alexander. She also leaves behind one brother, Pete Young of Carrollton,
Texas.
